J&J Court Transcribers, Inc. has been in business since 1976 providing quality legal verbatim transcription from audiotape, videotape, and digital media for municipal, state and federal courts and agencies. From humble beginnings as a two-person transcription firm providing transcription services to the local municipal court, J&J has grown into a nationally recognized transcription firm with clients and courts across the United States. As true testament to our reputation, J&J was one of eight firms selected to participate in the initial testing of electronic sound recording in the federal court system in 1981. In 1991, we were also selected as the primary transcription firm for two of the five federal courtrooms testing videotape as the official record. When the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey decided to convert to digital recordings in its Trenton location in 1997, J&J was once again involved in the evaluation process. J&J utilizes transcribers who are equipped with software and equipment to transcribe analog and digital recordings from various court recording vendors. Our large staff has enabled us to handle any size transcription request within designated time frames including 7-day, next-day, and same-day. J&J strives to be ahead of the curve with the ever-changing recording technology in the courtroom. Managing digital audio files through public, private, and court FTP sites has enabled us to download the audio faster so that we can provide the transcripts to clients as expeditiously as possible. J&J is a founding member of the Certified Transcribers Association of New Jersey (CTANJ) and has been an active member of the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers (AAERT) since its inception in 1993. *Timely – Accurate – Equipped for the Future*
